Meg Barnette
Finance & Operations, Director
As Director of Finance and Operations, Ms. Barnette oversees a broad range of institutional issues, including finance, strategic initiatives and planning, board relations, human resources, and general operations.
Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Ms. Barnette was the Director of Member Services and Counsel at the Community Development Venture Capital Alliance, a national community development financial intermediary that seeks to create quality jobs, entrepreneurial capacity and wealth in economically distressed communities.
Ms. Barnette was a Skadden Fellow at the Lawyers Alliance for New York and clerked for Judge Robert P. Patterson, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. She received her J.D. from NYU School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden Scholar, and a B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago.
