Tiffany Sanabia is a program associate in the Brennan Center’s Justice Program, providing policy and research support to strategic initiatives for ending mass incarceration. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Sanabia was a special victims bureau paralegal at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She assisted on the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases and supported the bureau in complying with reformed discovery laws.
Sanabia graduated from Ithaca College with a BA in integrative studies. For her senior project, she conducted research on model reentry programs for reducing recidivism in Tompkins County. She shared her findings with Ithaca College, proposing that they ban the box on employment applications and develop clear hiring guidelines for background checks. Her research earned her an award at Ithaca College’s 2019 Research Symposium.
