Eileen O’Connor is a senior counsel in the Brennan Center’s Voting Rights and Elections Program.
Before joining the Brennan Center, O’Connor served for eight years as a trial attorney in the Voting Section in the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice. Prior to that, she was a senior counsel at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, where she worked for five years on voting rights and fair housing issues. Previously, O’Connor was a litigation associate in private practice and clerked for Judge Dickinson R. Debevoise at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
O’Connor earned a BS in biomedical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a JD from NYU School of Law.
