JC Hendrickson is a senior policy strategist in the Brennan Center’s Justice Program, where he educates policymakers and the public about research on public safety and criminal justice reform and builds support for policy solutions. He previously led federal advocacy campaigns at the Justice Action Network, International Rescue Committee, Pew Charitable Trusts, and Council of State Governments. Prior to that, he worked for nearly five years as congressional staff on Capitol Hill. Hendrickson’s work has been featured in USA Today, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, MSNBC, CNN, and NPR, among other outlets.
Hendrickson holds a bachelor’s degree from American University and a master’s degree from George Washington University.
