Katherine Yon Ebright is a counsel in the Brennan Center’s Liberty and National Security Program, where she focuses on war powers and the constitutional separation of powers. Ebright’s work has been published in outlets including the Chicago Tribune, the Hill, Lawfare, and Just Security, and her commentary has appeared in Axios, Foreign Policy, the New York Times, Semafor, Vox, and others.
She received an AB in social studies from Harvard College and a JD from Columbia Law School. She served as a law clerk to Judge John M. Walker Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and to Judge J. Paul Oetken of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
