Owen Bacskai is a policy associate in the Brennan Center’s Democracy Program, where he focuses on federal democracy reform. Previously, he served as a scheduling assistant in the office of Vice President Kamala Harris, where he helped build the vice president’s daily schedule, coordinated trip and event planning, and managed external scheduling requests. Previously, he interned with the office of Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).
Bacskai graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with BAs in political science and communication arts and a certificate in public policy. During his time in Madison, Bacskai interned in the Wisconsin State Senate and the Democracy Program at the Bipartisan Policy Center.
