Peter Dunphy was a research and program associate in the Democracy Program, where he focused on voting rights and elections. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Dunphy interned for Kids in Need of Defense and the American Federation of Government Employees.
Dunphy graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in government and American studies. At Wesleyan, Dunphy researched the volume and composition of campaign donations from university faculty. He served as the editor of the Wesleyan Political Review and a researcher at Wesleyan’s Center for Prison Education. For his senior thesis, Dunphy analyzed the causes and effects of democratic norm decline in the United States.
