- Election Day Registration: Maine implemented Election Day registration in 1973. Individuals may register in person at any time at a town office or City Hall, including on Election Day.
- Preregistration: 17-year-olds can preregister to vote. Those who preregister can vote once they turn 18 without needing to re-register.
