Advances in Voter Registration Modernization
- Online Voter Registration: Missouri launched online voter registration through the Secretary of State’s office in 2013. Eligible citizens can use the system to register to vote or update their registration information even if they do not have a state driver’s license or non-driver ID. Registrants can access the online form only via a touchscreen device, since they must provide a digital signature using their finger or a stylus. While the application is entirely online from the user’s perspective, election officials must print the form to process the registration.
