Sahil Singhvi was a research and program associate in the Brennan Center’s Liberty and National Security Program. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Singhvi spent a year as an intern investigator with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, where he assisted staff with fact-finding efforts and trial preparation for felony cases.
Singhvi graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in economics, sociology, and the college of social studies. In 2018, he received the Hallowell Prize for outstanding work in the study of social studies and the Plukas Prize for excellent service as an economics teaching assistant. While at Wesleyan, Singhvi worked as a writing tutor at the Center for Prison Education. He also served as a research assistant for Prof. Lori Gruen, conducting primary source research on transformation and change during incarceration. His undergraduate thesis earned high honors and explored the conditions for the conferral of legal and political rights in the form of a novella.
