Ian Shapiro
Ian Shapiro was the Brennan Center’s postdoctoral Civic Engagement Fellow. Ian is a political scientist (Ph.D from CU Boulder) specializing in misinformation, democracy reform, social influence, and political behavior. His recent scholarship appears in the Oxford Encyclopedia of Political Decision-making and the Oxford Encyclopedia of Religion and Politics. Ian uses surveys and experiments to study public susceptibility to misinformation, how racial attitudes drive political behavior, and to document public demand for democracy reform in the United States.
In his spare time, Ian enjoys cycling, dogs, baking, and reading academic journals.
