Connie Wu is a voting laws research coordinator in the Democracy Program. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, she completed internships at the American Civil Liberties Union, working on reproductive freedom and housing rights; the Brookings Institution, advancing the Sustainable Development Goals; and the United Nations Foundation's public affairs team. She has also worked with local California nonprofits such as Global Hope 365, which aims to end child marriage and human trafficking, and Universal Human Rights Initiative, which expands human rights curricula through technology. At the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, Wu was an intern on the voting rights team, where she first gained a passion for ensuring equal access to voting. She graduated with honors from New York University in 2022 with a BA in public policy and a minor in peace and conflict studies.
