This is part of the Brennan Center’s response to the coronavirus.
Voters shouldn’t have to choose between their health and their right to vote. With no end in sight to the Covid-19 pandemic before the November election, we recommend a number of changes to election laws and practices in order to make the election safe and accessible to all, and protect voters from having to make that impossible choice. With these toolkits, you’ll be able to concentrate your efforts where it counts the most in your state to make sure that your upcoming election is Covid-safe.
Each of these toolkits lays out exactly where your state stands, and where it falls short on safe voting policies impacting some of the most critical aspects of our election infrastructure; including voter registration, mail voting, and in-person voting. They will also help you target your advocacy for maximum impact with select resources that you can rely on and helpful information about which authorities have the power to implement the recommended changes.
