On October 13, 2010, the Brennan Center for Justice hosted a briefing on potential threats to the vote in the 2010 election. The presentation covered the persistent problems of the voter registration system, the increased threat of voter suppression, possible voting system failures, and other major issues affecting voters in November’s election.
The presentation panelists were:
- Wendy Weiser, Director of the Voting Rights and Elections Project and Deputy Director of the Democracy Program at the Brennan Center for Justice
- Lawrence Norden, Senior Counsel of the Brennan Center’s Democracy Program
- Kristen Clarke, Co-Director of the Political Participation Group, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund
- Gloria Montaño Greene, Director of the Washington, DC office of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund.
