Jinmook Kang is a research associate in the Brennan Center's Justice Program. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Kang worked as a paralegal with A Better Childhood, where he supported class action litigation seeking to reform child welfare systems. He previously worked with Al Otro Lado, a Tijuana-based organization, to assist asylum seekers in Mexico and in the United States.
Kang graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in international politics and economics and a minor in French. For his senior research, he conducted an econometric analysis of environmental regulations on the shipping industry.
